Carlos Valdez Beltran, M.Sc., P.E.

Carlos Valdez is the Director of Operation in FIEA Bolivia. He holds a Civil Engineer undergraduate degree from Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” and a Master degree in “Environmental Management and Technology” from the University of Valladolid in Spain. His focus of work started with his thesis related with remediation for drainage acidic mine water of abandoned mines, since there the passion to work in the field of water, environment and sanitation related with water grew. 

After he finished his studies, he started working in different organizations that ranged from governmental, private sector and a university, including nonprofit organizations. His experience working with NGOs and a municipality gave him the sense to work with people that lacked access to basic infrastructure and the experience to manage projects with different sources of funding.    

M.Sc. Valdez has a lot of experience in the field of the implementation and searching funding for basic infrastructure in the rural and peri-urban areas.
