Emily Hallock
Emily is an EIA Fellow working with the FIEA WASH team to expand the student WASH program into Bolivia. She is a recent graduate from Duke University, where she studied Civil Engineering and Global Health with a concentration in Global Development Engineering. She is interested in the monitoring and evaluation of development projects and is passionate about the use of transportation and water infrastructure to improve community health outcomes.
Emily began working with EIA in 2022, as a member of the Duke student chapter (DEID), and participated in two bridge projects, Japo 2022 in Bolivia, and Nyawoluhle 2023 in eSwatini where she served as the design manager. Beyond her involvement with EIA, Emily served as the student project manager for the design of a community hospital in western Kenya and conducted a program evaluation for a community paramedic program in eastern North Carolina.
